Medina Residence

New Construction

Medina WA | In Construction 2026

Perched on a sloped, irregularly shaped lot, this modern spec home is organized as a series of crisp volumes that step with the landscape and respond to zoning constraints. A restrained palette of white stucco, steel elements, and masonry creates a clean, grounded exterior, with vertical openings that frame controlled views adding rhythm and light.

Terraced concrete walls and pavings planted with ferns and grasses leads to the entry, accompanied by a linear water feature that marks the transition from street to interior.

Inside, spaces are open and connected. A central axis organizes the circulation, while a wood slat screens separates the entry, public and private spaces while maintaining visual continuity. Exposed beams and skylights bring natural light into the main living areas. Spaces are defined by consistent walnut cabinetry, integrated detailing, and a restrained material palette.

The goal driving the Architect, Contractor, and Developer team is to collaborate on a spec home model that combines thoughtful design with efficient construction - moving beyond the typical Northwest turnkey home and rethinking the familiar boxy modern into something more refined and livable.
